I don't know about you, but I sure hope so. I am an avid gardener, but this year my back yard is a mess. I have an enormous amount of clean up and planting to do. But, my efforts will take longer this year than in years past. Late in 2008 I had a young pup introduced into my house compliments of my son who had become displaced. Now, I like dogs, but am not what one would call 'a dog person'. I would never go out and get one for myself. But since it was at my house, I trained this eager, smart dog. The only thing I was unable to train it to do was to not act like a dog; i.e.: run circles in the yard and frolic next to the fence line saying hello to all that passed. After all the rain and other wet substances that we've had this fall and winter, the back yard kind of turned into a mud pit, compliments of the dog. I put down landscape mix and mulch in the worst places, but the larger pieces soon ended up on the patio in piles carefully tended by the dog. So now the patio is a mess as well. Add in the muddy paw prints and it resembles a natural colored Jackson Pollock painting.
If there is anyone out there that is into bartering, I will gladly trade some virtual office assistance for some landscaping help. In today's economy we all have to find ways to get the things we need in the best possible way. I think that bartering is coming back into fashion, as evidenced by the ads on Craig's list. As we all look to overcome the hardships of the last couple of years, I hope that others look into this form of doing business. I'd love to hear how others have used bartering to get the things they need. Contact us at Office Assistant To Go with your stories and how we can be of assistance to you.
